Victorian Lusterware Porcelain Powder Jar Vintage Ceramic Jewelry Box Trinket BoxThis is a gorgeous and very elegant vintage Victorian style lusterware jewelry, trinket or powder box or jar. It measures 3 1 4 inches in length by 2 1 2 inches in width and is approximately 2 1 2 inches in height. The piece has a beautiful Victorian scene on the top, with plenty of gold hand painted accents. There is no hallmark on this piece, so we have no idea of it's history or origin. It has a wonderful shiny luster, and is in terrific condition,

The case is hallmarked inside

The case only has some very faint scuffing that is barely noticeable

This is a gorgeous and very rare late 1800's French antique gold tone powder and rouge compact with a lovely central mother of pearl medallion surrounded by 12 blue stones

The piece features a Colonial man and woman courting scene on the lid

with the accents being a high polished finish

and is a bit over 1/2 an inch in thickness

though it does have some barely noticeable spots
