1947 Omega Vintage Ref. 2179/4 Large Mens Watch, Stainless Steel - Military Style WatchToday's offering features this classic Omega done in a military style. Beginning in 1941 and for a few years following Omega made these ref. 2149 watches for both civilian and U. S. Army use. Our is one of the civilian watches. To meet military specifications the watches used robust movements and were cased in heavy steel cases and often featured luminous "eccentric" dials, as is the the case with the watch showcased here.
