Orvis Battenkill Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 2/2 #6A nice Orvis Battenkill fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #6 line. Serial #62639. The rod weighs 3. 9 ounces on my scale. Mint uncast condition. The rod is medium action and feels a but faster than the usual Orvis. Impregnated and oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. Brown main wraps with a carbide stripper and chrome guides. Resorcinol glue. The step ferrules are oxidized black. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a blunt

The front cork check is also oxidized and the keeper ring is pinned on the wrap flat

The book is bright and soundly bound

Very nice casting rod with medium fast action

No repairs are evident and none are needed
