Bogdan Trout ReelA nice Bogdan Trout reel, 3 1 4" diameter and set up for RHW. 3 4" spool width and the reel weighs 5. 4 ounces on my scale. Good used condition with some moderate rim rash concentrated in the "resting place" but relatively little elsewhere. Black sideplates with a silver frame. The sideplates are unventilated. The foot, serpentine handle, oil cap, and nameplate are silver. Perfect mechanical condition with a fixed drag. The reel packs into brown suede

this material is stiffer and stronger than e-glass or standard s-glass

The wraps are copper and the varnish is good

375" spool width

A great salmon rod here for the Miramichi or any other Canadian river for that matter

and the reel foot is 2 7/8 inches long

They made boron/graphite fly rods

It also comes with an extremely well made and hand stitched leather case made by the reel's original owner

The hard rubber side plates are in excellent condition with no cracks

Nice tight reel

The step ferrules are oxidized

Shorter original brass foot that's unmolested

The reel is in excellent condition with the majority of its wonderful black finish remaining
