Jenkins GA80-56 Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #5A nice CW Jenkins bamboo fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #GA80 56. Weighs 4. 1 ounces. Full flexing action based on a Garrison taper. Wheatstraw color cane done in a three up node pattern. Near mint condition, no soiling to the grip and just the faintest hint of brassing to the inner snake guides. The wraps are brown with yellow edges and an extra band of purple at the keeper and male ferrule. The swiss style ferrules are

The rod has varnish wear (scratches and scrapes) throughout the butt section and all sections could use a good polish

The spare spool shows minor wear

One of the more scarce British reels patented by John Moscrop in 1888 and again in 1891

This rod was well used judging by the grip soiling but appears in excellent condition otherwise
