Hardy Perfect Fly Reel 3 1/8"A nice contracted Hardy Perfect trout reel, 3 1 8" diameter and set up for the usual RHW. Mark I check model, circa 1915 production. Excellent overall condition with the normal cosmetic wear and finish loss you'd expect from a 100+ year old reel, but no major issues that I could find. The agate lineguard is excellent and the spool is nice and tight with no wobble whatsoever. Full length alloy foot. The ivorine handle spins freely and the rim tensioner

Comes in lighter gray slipcase

and spool are machined from german silver and the sideplates are hard rubber

Apart from having closer tolerances

These "M" medium rods have slightly heavier tips and reduced mids and butts for a more moderate action
