Saracione Monarch M35 AR Fly ReelA nice early Saracione Monarch M35 anti reverse fly reel, 3. 5" in diameter and set up for LHW. Excellent used condition with some minor wear on the frame edges and some mounting marks on the foot. Very clean overall however. "Ser. No. 0227" stamped on the side of the foot. Full range drag adjustment knob that tightens up the cork drag. Brushed aluminum frame. Saltwater resistant. The reel weighs 11 ounces on my scale. The reel comes in its original

One tip's silk wraps are a lighter tan color than the rest of the pumpkin color silks on the other three sections

The mid section has a large scratch above the first guide which it might be a good idea to varnish over (I suspect this was not a hook dig but perhaps from a fall or non-fishing related knock)

The ferrules are oxidized and done in a truncated swiss style

so it's been a one-family rod up to this point
