Leonard Duracane Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #6An HL Leonard Duracane fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip, built for a #6 line. Serial #1985. 1974 manufacture date. One of the much sought after green wrapped rods. Dark toned and impregnated bamboo. Medium action and lightly used with minimal hand soiling. 3 up node pattern. Keeper is 1 flat right. Lettered 2 flats right "made for R. J. Whitcomb" and 3 flats right "by Hap Mills" and 4 flats right "8' Duracane" and 5 flats right "1985". 6" blunt cigar grip.
Polished aluminum tube and brass collar and top with a small ventilation hole in the brass top and the side of the tube just below the collar

The reel seat is an uplocking screw lock with a walnut spacer
Mintish rod with no soiling to the grip and microscopic brassing inside the guides is consistent with having been lawn casted only
