Frances Walker: Coastal Glimpses 6The site of the new Ayr hospital is set inland amidst the green rolling South Ayrshire landscape allowing fine wide sweeping panoramic vistas culminating in glimpses of the coast and sea. Because of the familiarity of that coast to South Ayrshire residents from early childhood onwards, I felt these 'Coastal Glimpses' could provide a calm contemplative and appropriate series of simple images for the possibly apprehensive 'pre op' patients in the Day

and is included in private collections in Britain

Elspeth Lamb created this print as part of a unique series of lithographs using traditional limestone combined with digital imaging techniques whilst working with printmaker Jonathan Jones in our workshop

and a terrible battle resulted
