Orvis CF125 Prototype Fly Rod 7' 3/2 #3/4A nice Orvis CF 125 fly rod, 7', 3 piece, 2 tip built for a #3 4 line. Serial #85205. 3 3 8 oz. Medium slow action. Looks to have been lawn cast only. Browntone cane, 3 up node pattern construction. Impregnated with chrome guides and brown wraps. Mortised birdseye maple spacer and nickel silver screwlocking up lock seat. Made in 1979. Owner relates that this was a prototype rod. Packed in a brass topped aluminum tube and bag. Red cordura outer bag.

All are packed in the original canvass outer bag with the hangtag
as well as the fighting butt and nickel-silver plug for the seat with "23" stamped in the center of the target
which is shaped to a slim cigar
