Dingley Fly Reel 3"A very nice Dingley St. George style reel, 3 " diameter and set up for RHW. Red agate lineguard. No external Dingley stamp but the inside of the frame is marked "D4" just behind the pawl. Excellent condition with normal cosmetic wear and no structural or functional issues. Someone has lightly scratched an "S" and an "M" on the backplate, with the "M" having been lightly scratched out (it's not gouged super deeply but is visible). Full length brass

Well worn leaded finish

otherwise in good original condition

Full intermediate red wraps over blonde and varnished cane

but it is not too excessive and it cannot be felt while winding the reel

This Hardy Bougle Lightweight II measures 2

Slight loss of bluing on the butt cap and slight soiling on the grip

a nice opportunity for someone who desires the Payne experience

who in turn gave it to Sparse

Comes with original Kineya suede drawstring reel bag and box

The rod could use a little straightening and there is a slight twist in the tips that may wish to be addressed as well
