Bogdan Baby Trout Reel

Bogdan Baby Trout ReelA nice Bogdan Baby Trout reel, set up for LHW. 2 3 4" diameter with a 3 4" spool width. Near mint condition, with minute mounting marks on the foot, though the rest of the reel is pristine. It may have been mounted on a rod but never fished (my suspicion). Black sideplates with a silver frame. The spool appears to be an ever so slightly warmer champagne color. The foot, serpentine handle, oil cap, and nameplate are silver. The sideplate and spool are

The blonde cane is done in a three up node pattern

Likely made in the late 1940's or early 1950s

There are matching "1" stamps on each part of the reel

The reel (with a spool fitted) the two other spools all come in the standard green pouches and the original Charlton boxes as well

Comes in mint condition pine presentation box with spare spool and reel oiler

The reel is in excellent++ condition with only light wear to the foot and very slight wear to the rim

Fair used condition with substantial cosmetic wear to the frame edges and more limited wear to the rest of the frame

the 4" diameter model that came in a set with the other two sizes (these two are not included with this sale)

So my strong suspicion

One set of mid-tips feels like it would work well for a #3 or #4 while the other set feels like it would work nicely for a #4 or #5
