Hardy St John Fly ReelA nice Hardy St. John fly reel, 3 7 8" diameter and set up for LHW. An earlier three screw model with the initials "JS" (Jimmy Smith) stamped into the inside of the frame. Duplicated Mark II style check. Good used condition with plenty of cosmetic wear and loss of finish, but no major issues that I could find. Canoe style ribbed brass foot. Nice loud click and the tension adjuster works as it should. Nice tight spool. A line and backing are currently

Unfished condition (there is one tiny nick on the foot edge at the midway point
The rod comes in a black cloth bag and a black leather Arnie Mason tube with the rod serial number stamped on it
there is a filled seam just below the female ferrule
It weighs 6

The ferrules are size 8/64
The cane is a medium to dark wheatstraw oven temper with two opposed nodes
Our customer decided he wanted this model in the "special" configuration with full intermediates and asked if we could sell this one for him
