This rod is more than mint! In fact, I may have been the first person to put this rod together outside of the Young rod shop. This has the black anodized aluminum ferrules, which, when I pulled the rod from the bag, showed no scratches on the ferrule slide or any other sign of having been put

A 3" Bogdan narrow spool trout reel in left hand wind

steam and ammonia temper wound black and white jasper with gold edges

though it would also be an excellent rod for large trout and good sized water

the perfect companion to one of Stan's classic models

The refinish job has clearly been done by an excellent rodmaker however

weighing 4 ounces and built for a #6 line

Midway down the shaft "The Penns Creek" is lettered in Tom's immaculate hand

I remember making this rod and being very happy with the way it turned out

These rarely come to market and are one of the finest examples of Stan's workmanship that you will come across
