RL Winston Bamboo Fly Rod 5'10" 2/1 #3/4A RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 5'10", 2 piece, 1 tip, built for a #3 or #4 line. Serial #1372. 2 ounces. Used with considerable hand soiling on the grip but the varnish is in great condition. Full flexing action. Dark wheatstraw color cane in a three up node pattern. Tan wraps with maroon edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. The stripping guide is carbide and the snakes are chrome. The owner's name is inscribed on the rod as well as other data.

Sparingly flamed spacing-wise but done beautifully

A nice option here for anyone who wants a reel with classic style

The original ferrule plugs were basically stuck in the female ferrules and were unable to be removed

These smaller prints are set up with a white border for matte framing or similar

The famous Gillum fighting butt is 3 1/2" long and packs into a tan cloth outer bag

This reel has no undue spool or spindle wear
