Lot 084 - Vintage WWII-Era Trench Art Ashtray, 40mm Mk2 Brass Shell Casing, Dated 1945, Lot 1295, 2-1/2" HA vintage trench art ashtray fashioned from a fired 40mm MK2 brass shell casing, the rim cut and notched to form cigarette rests. The base headstamp is stamped with the designation "40MM MK2," dated 1945, with lot number 1295 and additional manufacturer markings partially legible around the primer. The spent primer remains in place at the center of the base. The casing retains its original stepped base flange. The exterior shows overall tarnish,
