Thomas and Thomas Hendrickson Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #5An excellent Thomas and Thomas Hendrickson model bamboo fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 line. 4. 6 ounces on my scale. Serial #3259. Medium fast action. Mint condition without a sign of having even been lawn cast. Varnished rod, with a perfect coat, just flawless. Light tan main wraps with darker brown edges and dark brown at the ferrules. There is an extra band of black at the keeper and ferrules. Carbide stripper and black snake

The node pattern/spacing on this early rod is not easily identifiable
The seven-setting adjustable drag is extremely strong at its heavier settings
The rod features beautiful moderately tempered cane with rich mahogany brown wraps and black tipping

The butt shows a lot of seaminess
and some overall light cosmetic signs of use
The reel and spare spool comes in a walnut box with foam lining (the lining is functional but has deteriorated slightly)
