Abel 4.5 Fly ReelA nice Abel 4. 5 fly reel equipped with the offset foot. 4 1 2" diameter, with a 1 1 8" spool width, and 1 3 4" overall frame width. The reel weighs 17. 1 oz on my scale. RHW. Red and black spattered custom finish. Near mint condition. There are some tiny marks on the reel foot and one or two tiny traces on the frame, but the reel could not have been fished much. The reel packs into original black Abel cordura pouch. A powerhouse designed to tackle

with a swift medium-fast action and a good bit of power thanks in part to the swelled butt

Waldron made these reels in the 1990's and they are very hard to come by

The reel comes in the original blue vinyl zipper case with a pamphlet tucked inside

The rod has received an overcoat of varnish at some point and the varnish remains in very good condition with a few soft spots and bag marks

The lack of a serial number indicates an early rod (sometimes rods with no serial numbers could be kit rods

in equally amazing condition
