Everett Garrison Model 212-E Bamboo Fly Rod 8'6" 2/2 #6A very nice Garrison 212E model bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for what feels to me like a #6. In my opinion this taper produces the very essence of a medium action rod. Hoagy Carmichael, Garrison's protege, believes it to be one of his best overall trout tapers, and I'm certainly not one to disagree there. The rod weighs 4. 6 ounces on my scale. This rod was built in 1967. One tip has been broken and was scarfed with resorcinol glue,

Fabricated from stainless steel and aluminum

There is an extra edge of black and white jasper at the keeper and male ferrules

Only made between (approx) 1894 and 1897 this 4" reel looks as though it only recently left the factory

The rod was built in 1974 by Doug Merrick during the transition from San Francisco to Twin Bridges
