Payne Model 97 Fly Rod 7' 2/2 #3An EF Payne Model 97 bamboo fly rod, 7', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for what feels like a #3 or #4. Delicate medium fast action. 2. 8 ounces. Lightly used condition, and it's possible that the rod may have been refinished or perhaps had a dip over at some point as the varnish on the wraps is slightly heavier than usual and the grip appears to have been sanded on a lathe. I can't say definitively however. As is sometimes seen on shorter Payne models,
