Hardy Bros. Ibis Neocane 12' 3/1 8wt spey rodFor sale here is a like new example of Hardy's "Ibis" Neocane spey rod. The Ibis sea trout light salmon steelhead rod was only made between 1963 and 1965. The rod is completely original and in near mint condition. Alloy ferrule plugs. No serial number. The rod weighs 13 7 8 oz and the ferrules are size 19 64 and 25 64. Comes with original Hardy bag and replacement tube.

Handsome darkly tempered cane with an impregnated matte finish

but it remains in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically the drag is still perfect

The tip tops have been replaced with modern large hoop pear shape tops

The hardware has a small die stamp which reads "Aroner

Comes with the correct olive colored poplin bag without the original hang tag

The reel was spooled up with line and backing as a backup and was never used
