Leonard Special Tournament Salmon Rod 9'6" 3/2 #9An HL Leonard Special Tournament model bamboo fly rod, 9'6", 3 piece, 2 tip and built for what feels to me like a #9 line. This salmon rod weighs 8. 1 ounces on my scale. Used but good condition overall. Medium fast action. Very light wear to the inner snake guides. The rod looks to be in original condition based on the wraps and varnish. Someone has tidied up the metalwork and the tube by removing any patina. Blonde cane done in a three up node

The rod weighs 3 3/4 oz and is marked #73 according to the bag tag
My guess is there was a local jeweler Wm Mills and Son referred their clients to for this type of custom engraving
