Lot 053 - Vintage Carved Hardwood Figure of a Seated Mother with Two Children, Balinese Style, 7-3/4" HVintage carved hardwood figure depicting a seated woman with two children, one held in her lap and one clinging to her back. The figure is carved in a Balinese style from a dark, richly grained hardwood with a smooth polished finish. The woman's hair is carved in a traditional upswept style. The composition rests on an organic, free form base. The wood shows a rich natural patina with minor surface wear and light scratching.
