James Furneaux: The CapitolJames Furneaux (1935 2013) was noted for painting Aberdeens lesser known buildings and backstreets and the citys landmarks from unusual perspectives. He was renowned for working on his watercolours and pen and ink drawings in situ and this has led Furneaux to many an interesting encounter with passers by, some curious, some suspicious and some even hostile. Furneaux was also an accomplished printmaker and, throughout the years, produced many etchings
She was the winner of the Shell Expro Award in 1992 NS RGW Glasgow Print Studio Publication Award in 1996
