Lot 071 - Antique Bentwood Dry Measure with Partial Maker's Mark, Nail-Fastened Lap Joint Construction, Lidless, 4-5/8" HAn antique bentwood dry measure constructed from a single thin wood stave bent into an oval form and secured at the overlap with a vertical row of nails. The exterior retains a warm reddish brown surface with horizontal grain lines visible across the band. The base is a flat circular wood panel, also nail fastened to the stave. A partial maker's stamp is visible on the base but is largely illegible. The measure is presented without its lid. The
