Sauvie Island morning |Portland Oregon - photogravure print - The Weekly EditionWhen making photographs in the landscape I am often wanting to apply some order to the otherwise caotic scenes I find myself in. I know in my heart that the landscape and nature is much too grand to be tamed by my camera and I yet I need the feeling of calm. Hand pulled photogravure print is made with Gamblin bone black, Charbonnel Bistre, and ruby red inks on Hahnemhle copperplate paper. I printed an edition of 6 numbered prints and 2 A P prints.

Now adding letterpress to my practice I feel new ideas swimming along with me as I navigate my work

A dozen photogravure photographs will be the key element and the object will be rich with texture and meaning
