AL Walker TR 1 Fly Reel

AL Walker TR 1 Fly ReelA scarce AL Walker Model TR 1 "Midge" fly reel, 2 1 2" diameter and set up for RHW. Spool width of 7 8" and weighs 4. 9 oz. Excellent used condition with some light rubbing to the rims, a few faint scratches to the sideplates, and some residue on the inside of the spool. The sideplates have a faint brownish hue to them with some cosmetic mottling to the backplate. Very clean overall however and mechanically sound with a subtle inbound click and louder

and now wish I had at least one of them back

What I cannot figure out is why the rods were limited to 200 while 300 reels were produced

The reel operates as if it's like new

Both the reel and extra spool come packed in original green cordura pouches

The reel retains some of the original leading

The tips are labeled A and B for convenience

with a small tear in the top flap and a very small hole in the bottom of the butt section sleeve

The rod packs into a dark maroon cloth bag and a brass topped aluminum tube with the DG Schroeder data sticker
