Orvis Battenkill Bamboo Rod - 7'6 5wtFor sale here is a 7'6" 2 1 Orvis Battenkill impregnated bamboo rod. Labeled for a #6 line but casts best with a #5. Serial #66099 made in 1972. The rod is in excellent condition overall. Other than soiling on the grip, there are no other signs of use. Original bag and labeled tube. Ferrules are size 12 64 and the fit is excellent. Aluminum down locking reel seat. The rod weighs 3 7 8 oz.
The tensioner works perfectly and the reel is nice and tight mechanically
and the nodes are nice and small so careful attention was paid to hand pressing them
Comes with an original Hardy zippered case
This rod is a medium action Yellowstone model in lightly used condition
and warranty
There is a 1/4" gap between sections to allow for wear in the future
In spite of the issues with the rod
The ferrules are size 8/64 with an excellent fit
The grip is moderately soiled
Flamed cane in a 2 opposed node pattern construction
The ferrules are 13/64
Includes original bag with hang tag and stiffening dowel as well as the original tube with brass fittings
