St Michael Slays the Dragon - photogravure print - The Weekly EditionAs I think about our trip this year to Europe I was reminded of this picture I made on the 1st day of my first trip to Paris in 2022. This sculpture of St. Michael slaying the dragon in located in a very beautiful fountain. It gives me great pause to consider the effort that goes into a monument like this that is used to tell a story. and the way this story travels through generations. Hand pulled photogravure print is made with Gamblin Bone Black,

and Sanguine inks on Hahnemühle copperplate paper

I have never be a photographer who seeks out the iconic views of known places

designed by architects

I printed an edition of 9 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints

Learning new crafts has been deeply invigorating and I am thrilled to be following my first limited edition book Still + Life with this limited edition broadside

This introductory project mentorship can be as simple as some small mail art with your picture and a couple lines of type

I can hardly wait and this picture reminds me of many of the reasons for wanting to visit

with a dash of Charbonnel Geranium red ink on Hahnemühle  Copperplate paper

especially the older ones that were around at the beginning of photography

It felt like a collaboration with a mystery

and Charbonnel  Prussian blue
