Abel Creek Series #1 Trout ReelA nice Abel Creek Series #1 black anodized reel. 3 1 4" diameter. Set up for LHW. Serial #A7530. 98% mint. This reel has the foot which extends the reel forward on the rod. The owners name is engraved in tiny script. A #7 line is currently on the spool along with some backing.
Golden brown wraps
Flamed cane with 3 up node pattern
with some rust around the tube wires (I suspect this could be cleaned and wires replaced) and on one exterior of the box a previous owner has scratched "TUBES" into the surface
"3804 #680" is lettered 2 flats left
all of which are polished bright
and it comes with the original tube
very nicely put together
Since 1869" in the cartouche
This was followed in 1901 by the Prince of Wales
You don't see this model everyday
possibly in salt water as there is some evidence of corrosion on the inner spool
