Photographs, Leather Binding with Gauffered Edges, manufactured by Altemus & Co., Philadelphia, circa 1860sAntique photo album in embossed leather binding containing 32 tintype photographs and 11 carte de visite photographs depicting men, women, and children. The album features an ornately tooled cover with a central quatrefoil design surrounded by scrollwork and corner bosses. The spine displays gilt stamped decorative bands and "Album" lettering. All three book edges show gauffered decoration with pressed ornamental patterns. Interior title page reads
