Serial #90444, I believe this was built in the mid or late 2000's. Near mint condition with some faint cosmetic casting cracks to the ferrule wrap and a few small scratches to the female ferrule being just about the only sign of use that I could find. The grip is pristine. Impregnated cane in a light wheatstraw color, and done in a three up node

The ferrules are polished bright and the fit is nice and tight

and one a bit beefier for the bigger flies and for when the winds pick up

The reel comes with its original blue cordura reel pouch and box

The foot appears to have been filed and the owner inked the line weight on the spools though I suspect that could be easily removed

The new owner of this rod will be very proud and very lucky to acquire one of Alan's fine rods at such a reasonable price given its quality

so the best foolproof way to get the right fit is to measure the outer diameter of the male ferrule with a micrometer
