Everett Garrison 206 Fly Rod 7'9" 2/2 #5An excellent Everett Garrison 206 fly rod, 7'9" 2 piece, 2 tip built for a #5 line. Lettered D 79 1 and weighing 3. 45 ounces. Originally built for "Jas B Peeso" circa 1935 and sold to the current owner by Marty Keane. The soft varnish was removed and the rod re conditioned by John Bradford in February of 1994. Honey main wraps, brown at the ferrules and keeper. Olive wrap at tip top on one tip and brown on the other. High arch snakes guides.

Darkly blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a wonderful mortised Cherry burl spacer

Brass short foot but comes with an additional longer foot as well

67 clips (7x6 on one side and 5x5 on the other)

It is very very hard to find a Garrison in this kind of condition and this is one of his most celebrated tapers (when I discussed this rod with Hoagy Carmichael

Nice strong springs with a surprising amount of drag for a click and pawl design

complete with 1980 US Olympic Team Hockey Stamp

His attention to detail and cosmetics are also beyond reproach

Cigar grip slightly reminiscent of a Garrison grip is in wonderful shape with very light soiling

but I cannot confirm this and they are both too long for the rod
