Old Town Canoe Catalog 1919For sale here is an Old Town Canoe Catalog from 1919 in excellent condition. 32 pages. Possibly a company catalog due to several pencil notations of what appears to be editor comments. Hard to find and an extremely early catalog from the company.
Made circa 1925 by Jim Payne
There was a minimum reserve set on this reel and it ended up not meeting reserve
The rod features moderately tempered cane with bright crimson wraps
Rod was made in Denver
The rod actually measures 8'7" fully assembled with the full-length tip
and I can find no blemishes
The rod was intended to be 7' though there was a measuring mistake at the Leonard factory and it ended up being 6'10"
This salmon / steelhead rod is hollow-built and weighs roughly 6 1/2 oz
For sale here is a very scarce 3 1/8" Hardy Uniqua fly reel
Nickel silver up-locking reel seat over a mortised fossilized mammoth ivory spacer
Wrapped in antique gold and tipped in scarlet
