For sale here is an Orvis Model 99 bamboo rod -- 9' 2/1 6-7wt with a marked weight of 6 1/8 oz
Blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with "Ron Kusse Maker" engraved on the butt cap
which is shaped to a slim cigar
Near mint condition with the exception of slight marks on the reel foot from being mounted on a rod and a few handling marks on the rims (these are not scratches or dings)
The cigar grip measures 5 1/2" in length with only slight handling marks
made in 1950
or a DT5 without backing
Minor scratches on the base of the reel seat (see last photo)
The reel was gifted to NBC TV personality Jerry Lester
