EF Payne Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 2/2 #4/5A nice E. F. Payne bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for what feels to me like a #4 or #5. The rod weighs 3. 6 ounces. There is no hang tag but based on the specifications I suspect it is a model 101. Very crisp DF action. Used but well cared for. There is some wear to the bronze reverse twist guides and moderate discoloration of the grip and a bit of ferrule wrap cracking from casting. There are also two small varnish chips in the upper
The rod features a lovely and mildly tempered cane finish with transparent caramel colored wraps
and there is a small pouch with some extra washers included as well
