Kushner, Morris -- "Celereme" Bamboo Rod - 8'9 6wtFor sale here is a very rare Morris Kushner "Celereme" bamboo rod 8 feet 9 inches, two sections and one tip, for a 6 weight line. Kushner rods are very scarce as he made less than 200 rods (most people say ~100) in his Michigan shop from the early 1950's until his death in 1973. Kushner was a Russian immigrant who had a metal working operation not far from the Paul Young Rod Co. shop. He built all of his own rod making equipment. Bob Summers

The reel's measurements are almost identical to a Hardy 3 1/4" wide drum model

The reel foot comes of a remnants of a line sticker that can removed easily

Comes with its original bag and tube

Bronze high-arch guides and small hoop tip-tops

The drag works beautifully and is mechanically sound

There is a soft clicking sound in both directions and just enough resistance to prevent overrun

For sale here is a very scarce Opal version of Ari t' Hart's Rainbow fly reel model

appearing to have not been cleaned as it's free of any ridging whatsoever

The rod is in mint condition with the plastic still on the grip
