Maslan Powell Fly Rod 9' 2/2 #5/6A powerful 9' 2 2 for a #5 6 hollow built Powell made by Tony Maslan. This rod has an uplocking screwlock over a black plastic (delrin?) spacer. Half wells grip. The rod is marked "pat# 1932986, E. C. Powell Rod co., Marysville, Calif". The wraps are gold with high arch chrome guides. Two opposed node pattern. The original varnish is in excellent condition. There is some minor soiling and erosion of the grip near the hood (pictured). Medium to slow
The large (12 corks) 6" grip is deeply sculpted to a hand-fitting fish-tail shape
