Abel Super 7-8N ReelAn Abel Super 7 8N fly reel, 3 3 4" diameter and set up for RHW. Excellent lightly used condition, with a few light marks on the frame edge. Highly ported large arbor design. Dark blue anodizing with a clear anodized foot. Serial #489. Silver handle and the cork drag is adjusted via a dial on the backplate. The reel packs into the original Abel cordura pouch.

The sideplates have a couple of very faint scratches but otherwise you would not know that this reel has been fished

And last but not least

Flamed and oven tempered bamboo in the Payne semi-random node spacing

One tip is a replacement as it is glued with resorcinol glue and is a 3 up node pattern

A nice option for those looking for a LHW perfect for larger trout rods

The cane is flamed with a three up node pattern

Rod is in good condition although it could use a polishing

A nice Orvis CFO III 20th Anniversary fly reel

The reel packs into the original suede leather padded pouch

The reel seat is quite unique and consists of two sliding bands over an aluminum band that applies outward pressure

The slide ring was split so Sam made a new one (the old one is included along with the drawing done by Sam)

The grip is 6 1/2" in length and shaped to a heavy blunt profile
