This is an unusual model made with a solid unventilated spool, which I don't believe I have seen before (An early version from Hardy?). The location of the pillars is also unusual, boasting four rather than three and having them located approximately at the 8: 30, 10: 30, 1, and 3 positions. Good condition with normal cosmetic wear

The slim-ish cigar grip is 7” long with an anodized down lock screw lock with a pocket cap and a 3” long fixed fighting butt

The rod sections are glued with resorcinol leaving a telltale black seam

The reel seat is an uplock with a hidden pocket cap and a varnished walnut spacer
