Lawn cast with a hint of brassing to the inner snake guides. The cane is flamed and the nodes are two opposed. The main wraps are dark maroon with black edges. The stripping guide is a red agate and the snake guides are bronze. The varnish is excellent, all sections are straight, and the ferrule fits are good. The ferrules are swiss
It was developed before the First World War for Tappan Fairchild
The reel has been fished once and remains in like new condition
This reel appears to be mint and unused
