Robert Bolt Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 3/2 #4A nice RK Bolt bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 3 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial number 1508. The rod weighs 3. 3 ounces on my scale. Mint condition. Medium semi full flexing action. The cane is oven tempered just to the darker side of wheatstraw. the nodes are done in two opposed fashion and the main wraps are medium brown with yellow edges and a red band only at the keeper wrap. The varnish is flawless. The nickel silver ferrules are overwrapped

Includes original cloth bag with stiffener and unlabeled highly polished aluminum tube in amazing condition itself

This reel shows light use with some rash at the bottom of the frame and there is a slight twist to the end of the reel foot (shown above)

For those of you unfamiliar with his legacy

The rod is in excellent condition though it could benefit from a light polishing

This very well could be a unique transitional reel with a combination of features seen pre- and post-1928

The ebonite handle grasp had a small chip in it that was filled in - a well done and very minor repair

The grip remains very clean and the rod is nice and straight
