The reel and both spools are in near mint condition with just a faint touch of rubbing in a spot or two, and free of any scratches or other defects. I doubt this reel was fished much at all, or if so, only a time or two and very well taken care of. For sale here is a classic impregnated Sharpe's of Aberdeen "Scottie" spliced 13' 9wt bamboo salmon rod

The spacer shows some small indentations and there is some bluing loss on the hardware

and papers (the box incorrectly labels this reel as a 3 1/4" but the reel is definitely 3 1/2")

The reel diameter is 3 1/2" with an inner spool width of 1"

The step-down ferrules have a great fit
