Walt Carpenter Special Fly Rod 6'7.5" 2/2 #3An excellent Walt Carpenter 6' 7. 5" Special, 2 piece 2 tip built for a #3 weight line with a medium full flexing action. Varnished blonde cane with honey colored wraps. Nickel silver up locking screw lock reel seat with mortised burl spacer. This is a very rare and unusual configuration. Chrome guides and tip top. This rod appears to be unused. Cloth rod bag and aluminum painted tube with a gold anodised aluminum top.

But quite small

The needle is turned slightly over the needle eye size and then glued into the bamboo which has been scalloped at the top near the opening

Ferrules are oxidized black

#2066 is lettered beneath the female ferrule

one of the most admired periodicals ever put out for the angling community
