Pre Lachaise in Paris is a very well known and famous landmark cemetery. I felt a bit odd as I had never photographed in a cemetery before. I walked around and found myself noticing that it reminded me of many of the streets I had been walking on in Paris. A different set of homes for sure but it

It was perfect and I made this picture with my 8x10 camera and a petzval lens from the 1870s

I printed an edition of just 8 numbered prints and 2 A/P prints

the mosaic marble floor and the buildings at the end

These vessels are some that my wife gave me one year for an occasion

with a bit of  Charbonnel geranium red on Rives BFK paper

it was the crowning glory of their ensemble

I realized the other photographer with his long hair and beautiful face

I am working with my fellow humans again and I am grateful to have collaborators to help me make my work

Jean-Paul Marat is buried in the church's cemetery
