Uslan Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #6 (Refinished by Sam Carlson)A nice Uslan bamboo fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #6 line. Pentagonal design. This rod was restored by Sam Carlson in 1997. Fast DF action. Blonde cane with brown main wraps and bronze snake guides. The Super Z style ferrules are oxidized. The 6 1 4" long medium cigar grip is clean as a whistle, having been replaced by Sam. The reel seat is a down lock aluminum FE Thomas screwlock with a nickel silver pocket cap. The spacer is Pakka

I can find no sign the reel has ever been on a rod

98% Mint (there is a tiny bit of hand soil to grip and a micro bit of edge rub to oxidized butt cap)

The butt cap has the standard Leonard late model die stamp with "HL Leonard Rod Co / The Rodmaker / Since 1869" in a cartouche

The rod was made in 1952 by George Reid and Cal Skinner
