Farlex Platewind Fly Reel 1-1 DD 3 3/4"A nice Farlex Platewind direct drive fly reel, 3 3 4" diameter and set up for RHW (though the bias is fairly neutral). Raised pillar design. Serial #079. There are two tiny mounting marks on the the foot and one tiny nick on the flat part of the frame edge, but the reel could not have been fished much. Silver anodized throughout. The reel weighs 10 ounces on my scale. Gear and pawl drag system with a nice loud click. Ebonite handle that's slightly

Oiled finish to the rod shafts

A 1950s-1960s era rod in near mint condition

the rod was made in 1947 by John Rosencrantz
