I was on a retreat with some other photographers in my community

I find it important to learn to make meaningful work close to home

Drawn to the lines of trees swirling up the hillside this particular negative was my favorite from the day

Susan and I learned photogravure printmaking together

I feel like the last few years we have all been forced to become masters of waiting

4x5 platinum print presented in a 4-ply white rag mat

Now days my portraits are as much about me the maker

I have not been in the studio much during the last 2 years for all the reasons we know
