John Pickard Model 795 Bamboo Fly Rod 7'9" 2/2 #5A nice John Pickard Model 795 bamboo rod, 7'9", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 line. I believe this is John's rendition of the classic Paul Young Para 14 taper. Authoritative, fast but full flexing action. The rod weighs 3. 7 ounces on my scale. Excellent overall condition, the rod appears to have been little used, perhaps lawn cast only even. Flamed mottled cane done in a three up node pattern. The rod has a keeper, a carbide stripper, and
had faster cycle time for more accuracy and less wind interference
