John Bradford Legacy III Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 3/2 #5A John Bradford Legacy III bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 3 piece, 2 tip and built for a double taper #5 line. Serial #1740. Oven temper cane in a left hand spiral with mirror tips. Condition is modestly used with some hand soiling to the grip. The rod action is on the faster D. F. side. Excellent varnish with brown main wraps and yellow edges on all. The original owner's name is on the rod. Agate stripper and black snake guides. The step ferrules are oxidized
The rod has varnish wear (scratches and scrapes) throughout the butt section and all sections could use a good polish
rim tensioner that works perfectly
including a custom genuine horn toggle

The case is in excellent condition having seen very little use
This rod is 8 feet
I photographed the worst parts of wear on the frame so there are no surprises

Still a fantastic example of the most classic fly reel in history
The dark snake guides are high arch and high slant which I associate with the 1930s
